Roles & Responsibilities
The Strategic Account Management function is essential to the future business strategy for Johnson & Johnson. It defines how we will approach the market as a Surgery organization and is critical to our growth plans. Our partnerships with non-clinical customers demonstrate the long-term value of collaborating with Johnson & Johnson and highlight our impact on patient care.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you will report to the Lead of Strategic Account Management for Surgery and be responsible for developing mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with clinical and non-clinical partners across designated key accounts.
- Collaborate with Business Units to develop and execute account strategies aimed at driving profitable sales and increasing market share within Hospitals, Hospital Groups, and Group Purchasing Organizations.
- Coordinate and support the proposal development process together with the clinical team, presenting risks and opportunities to the required management levels.
- Lead negotiations for commercial agreements and oversee their execution across care centers, in collaboration with Business Unit and Shared Functions, including Pricing, Services & Solutions, HEMA, etc.
- Act as the representative of Johnson & Johnson Surgery for commercial partners in strategic accounts.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is an advantage.
- Several years of clinical experience in a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager role, with proven experience in managing non-clinical partnerships.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare market and the local regulatory/policy environment, skilled at identifying factors impacting the business.
- Experience in contract negotiations and deal structuring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German to represent Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech professionally; strong English skills are required; proficiency in a second official language is preferred.
- French language skills in writing and speaking are a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills, high self-confidence, courage, and conviction.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
- Project management capabilities with the ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
