SPEAG, a premier developer and manufacturer of advanced test equipment for evaluating electromagnetic (EM) radiation and materials, seeks talented individuals for the role of Software Engineer, Computer Graphics. Together with esteemed partners such as the Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT’IS), ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT), and TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions), we form the Zurich43 alliance. Our dedicated mission is to enhance knowledge and technology for the characterization, optimization, and application of EM near-fields, predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and complex anatomies, and medical applications.
Your Challenges
- Develop and maintain visualization-related features for our computational life science platform, Sim4Life.
- Create a GPU-driven rendering pipeline for visualizing extensive computational anatomical models and simulation results.
- Develop and maintain quality-adaptive, low-latency streaming components for remote rendering.
- Engage in all areas of platform development, from feature design to production-level implementation.
Your Strengths
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Vulkan, DirectX 12, or equivalent expertise in real-time graphics programming.
- Experience with test-driven workflows, profiling and optimizing graphics workloads, cross-platform development, game engine programming/architecture, or web rendering stack (WebGPU, Three.js, GLTF, etc.).
- Strong expertise in C++ and practical experience in writing C++ code.
- Familiarity with meshing, computational geometry, and related challenges.
- Passion for designing high-quality, user-friendly, and reliable software.
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering work at the highest quality standards.
- Self-motivated, with excellent organizational and communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a friendly, team-oriented personality.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Committed to effectively responding to the needs of partners and customers.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus.
