Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of advanced trading algorithms across multiple asset classes and latency regimes (HFT, MFT, smart execution).
- Partner closely with trading, quant, and business teams to translate high-level trading ideas into high-performance production systems.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of algorithmic strategy development — from design and simulation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
- Implement algorithms in Rust, leveraging your expertise in systems programming, concurrency, and low-level performance tuning.
- Drive innovation in execution algorithms, market-making systems, and smart order routing frameworks.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and fault-tolerance of trading infrastructure using internal testing, profiling, and benchmarking tools.
- Define technical vision, establish coding standards, and mentor engineers across multiple time zones.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and quant research teams to integrate real-time data, risk management, and analytics components into the trading stack.
- Stay at the frontier of trading technology, including exchange APIs, order book dynamics, FPGA acceleration, and low-latency networking.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 8+ years in senior or head-of-engineering roles within HFT or proprietary trading companies.
- A proven track record in building, mentoring, and scaling teams of 10 or more highly skilled engineers.
- Strong leadership capabilities in setting technical direction, maintaining code quality standards, and establishing development best practices.
Technical & Systems Expertise
- Deep understanding of market microstructure, exchange protocols, and liquidity dynamics across both crypto and traditional markets.
- Extensive experience in low-latency systems.
- Expertise in Rust, complemented by strong proficiency in Python for research, prototyping, and orchestration.
- Experience in integrating trading algorithms with exchange gateways and internal matching engines.
- Strong command of the network stack and performance profiling tools.
- Exposure to hardware acceleration and time synchronization systems is a significant advantage.
Algorithmic Trading Knowledge
- In-depth familiarity with HFT and MFT trading paradigms, including market making, arbitrage, liquidity provision, and execution strategies.
- A proven record of designing or enhancing smart execution algorithms and adaptive order routing.
- Understanding of risk control, backtesting, and real-time monitoring frameworks in high-throughput environments.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with quants and traders to transform alpha hypotheses into executable systems.
