Job Summary

The Senior Specialist Medical Information International is a vital medical resource within our organization, possessing expert knowledge of current pharmaceutical developments and relevant disease states. Reporting to the Associate Director of Medical Information, the Senior Specialist will create, develop, and communicate balanced and accurate medical information to support physicians and healthcare providers in the safe clinical use of pharmaceutical medications.

This role will also nurture and maintain key relationships across internal teams and with influential external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders whom we collaborate with.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth research and analysis of pharmaceutical drug pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and patient safety data using literature databases and professional society resources.
  • Support team members in delivering accurate and timely responses to medical inquiries about drug products from healthcare professionals, pharmacy groups, and consumers.
  • Supervise the creation of pharmaceutical and medical information response documents, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and concise.
  • Adapt, approve, and maintain medical information documentation for the International Region, including Medical Response Letters, FAQs, and scientific presentations for both marketed and pipeline products.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track team metrics, enhancing the understanding of market dynamics across various countries.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) in a scientific discipline or equivalent is required.
  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth medical literature research and interpret data related to drug evaluation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical and regulatory guidelines affecting the dissemination of medical information.
  • Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and literature searching databases is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
