Our client, a leader in national security space technology, is seeking a Senior C&DH Engineer to serve as the primary technical authority for the electrical hardware and avionics systems at the core of their spacecraft. If you possess the expertise to manage complex architectures and the leadership qualities to engage across programs and stakeholders, this role offers an exciting opportunity with substantial impact.

  • Leading trade studies and make/buy analyses.
  • Owning interface control documents.
  • Directing high-fidelity analyses concerning data budgets, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and clock behavior.
  • Resolving complex technical issues during integration and testing.
  • Contributing to FDIR strategies and offering technical expertise to mission operations.

At Level 5, your responsibilities will expand to shaping the long-term technical roadmap for the C&DH group and mentoring the next generation of engineers across multiple programs.

What You’ll Need

  • At least 9 years of experience with spacecraft communication protocols, including SpaceWire, Ethernet, RS-422/485, and LVDS.

  • 14 or more years of related experience for those targeting Level 5.
  • Experience as a Responsible Engineering Authority or Lead Engineer on complex space programs.
  • Deep familiarity with industry standards and DoD cybersecurity implementation for space assets.
