Key Tasks

  • Flight Control Software: Design, develop, implement, and test model-based flight control software to enable new aircraft capabilities and enhance system performance.
  • Simulation & Validation: Verify and validate new features using a comprehensive simulation framework to ensure reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and training materials that detail flight control logic, software architecture, and system behavior.
  • Autonomy: Design and implement safe, reliable autonomous flight sequences that meet customer requirements and comply with the latest aviation safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems, avionics, flight operations, and design engineers, to develop innovative features and enhance our unmanned helicopter platforms continuously.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and evolving safety regulations, integrating best practices into software development processes.

Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience with model-based development, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices is a must. Programming experience in C or a similar language is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong expertise in model-based development using tools like Simulink. Solid understanding of flight dynamics. Ability to design and execute comprehensive test programs, from unit testing to system-level validation. Excellent technical communication and documentation skills are essential.
  • Language: Professional proficiency in English is required, with German as a desirable skill.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate complex technical matters clearly to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Adhere to ANAVIA’s employment policies, safety instructions, quality manuals, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Willingness to undertake international travel, comprising up to 25% of working hours.
