Key Responsibility Areas

  • Prioritize security support tickets from internal teams and MDR/SOC across divisions.
  • Investigate advanced threats and collaborate closely with the SOC/MDR team for consistent threat hunting, remediation, and automation of incident response processes.
  • Review security tool configurations (e.g., VPN, network infrastructure, firewalls) to maintain a consistent security architecture and optimize the use of existing solutions.
  • Collaborate with divisional ISOs to support their security initiatives.
  • Monitor emerging threats, assess existing controls' effectiveness, and implement measures to continuously enhance the security posture.
  • Conduct governance audits in accordance with security policies, coordinating closely with the application team.
  • Support security awareness trainings and assist in the analysis and remediation of phishing incidents.
  • Prepare regular security reports and dashboards (e.g., XDR-Compliance, KPI analyses, asset comparisons) to aid operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Actively participate in the development of the security operations infrastructure with an emphasis on automation, integration, and enhancing the efficiency of existing security tools.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Desirable certifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Microsoft Security Operations Analyst.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity or security operations; experience in healthcare or international environments is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of cyber hygiene, threat types, and security principles.
  • Experience with modern security operations platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XDR/XSOAR or Microsoft Defender/Sentinel) is beneficial.
  • Proficient in configuring enterprise security tools.
  • Familiarity with auditing and compliance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, both written and spoken.
