Key Responsibility Areas
- Prioritize security support tickets from internal teams and MDR/SOC across divisions.
- Investigate advanced threats and collaborate closely with the SOC/MDR team for ongoing threat hunting, remediation, and automation of incident response processes.
- Review the configuration of security tools (e.g., VPN, network infrastructure, firewalls) to ensure a consistent security architecture and optimal utilization of existing solutions.
- Collaborate with divisional ISOs to support their security initiatives.
- Monitor emerging threats, evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, and implement measures to continuously enhance security posture.
- Conduct governance audits per security policies and in close coordination with the application team.
- Support security awareness training and assist with the analysis and remediation of phishing incidents.
- Prepare regular security reports and dashboards (e.g., XDR-Compliance, KPI analyses, asset comparisons) to aid operational and strategic decision-making.
- Actively engage in the further development of the security operations infrastructure, focusing on automation, integration, and increasing the efficiency of existing security tools.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
- Desirable certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Microsoft Security Operations Analyst.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity or security operations (experience in healthcare or an international environment is a plus).
- Solid understanding of cyber hygiene, threat types, and security principles.
- Experience with modern security operations platforms (e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XDR/XSOAR or Microsoft Defender/Sentinel) is advantageous.
- Relevant experience working with and configuring enterprise security tools.
- Relevant exposure to auditing and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
