Job Description

As our Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you will play a central role within Group Marketing. Collaborating with all SMG Swiss Marketplace Group business units, you will join a team of highly motivated digital and performance marketing experts. Your contributions will directly influence our success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of Search Engine Advertising (SEA) activities across multiple SMG brands, ensuring scalable and sustainable growth.
  • Own Google Ads best practices and expertise, while contributing to other performance marketing channels such as Paid Social, Programmatic, and Display, as needed.
  • Act as a strategic consultant to Business Units, advising on performance marketing best practices tailored to their specific business models, including conversion strategy, campaign structure, actionable recommendations, and growth opportunities.
  • Streamline operational workflows across Business Units by managing incoming requests, prioritizing and assigning tasks, and ensuring timely delivery with clear timelines, while serving as the central point of contact with Data teams to coordinate data-related initiatives for accurate execution.
  • Drive performance through a strong data-driven and experimentation mindset by establishing and scaling structured testing frameworks to identify optimization opportunities, enhance incrementality, and unlock new growth levers.
  • Challenge existing approaches and proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes, workflows, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • You are a Native German speaker (mandatory) and fluent in English (our business language).
  • More than 9 years of experience in digital performance marketing, with deep expertise in Paid Search (SEA) and a proven record of managing and scaling Google Ads campaigns in complex, multi-brand environments, supported by strong cross-channel strategy understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical (data/analytics) and marketing teams, translating business needs into actionable implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Marketing Platform tools, including SA360, DV360, and CM360.
  • Strong analytical and technical skill set, with practical experience in GA4, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Solid experience in feed management and Google Shopping, leveraging product data as a performance driver.
  • Strong operational and project management skills, with experience coordinating workflows, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring delivery across multiple stakeholders, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive, structured problem-solver with a high level of ownership and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
