Your Crew

Join our multidisciplinary team of 10 engineers, where you will play a leading role in our projects. You will work in a multicultural environment, serving a global customer base and engaging with a broad range of technologies and projects. From unique ESA science projects to state-of-the-art serial production for satellite constellations, a wide array of challenging tasks awaits you.

Your Mission

• Plan, coordinate, and review project work in Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration & Testing (MAIT)
• Act as the MAIT interface to project management, regularly updating and reporting the manufacturing status to the project manager and project team
• Take responsibility for the integration and alignment concepts and associated tooling development
• Support the design regarding manufacturability and design-to-cost
• Perform manufacturability reviews of the manufacturing documents (part drawings, assembly drawings, bill of materials)
• Assist system engineering with verification activities
• Support design specifications for jigs & tools (MGSE, EGSE)
• Estimate required production time and resources for initial models and non-recurring activities
• Provide and commission jigs and tools, handing them over to the production team
• Ensure product quality through appropriate production regulations, inspections, and procedures
• Serve as document owner of the MAIT plan (including flows and layouts) and assembly procedures
• Drive troubleshooting within production, acting as the first point of contact for the Assembly & Test Technicians
• Continuously improve process capability, quality, and efficiency
• Drive automation within operations
• Support the procurement department during complex procurement processes regarding adherence to technical specifications
• Present conducted MAIT activities, including in front of customers
• Assist with proposal work and claim management
• Advise engineering/project management on shipping/delivery know-how
• Provide expertise in certification and machine guidelines

In addition to the standard responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will also:

• Support and act as deputy for the ME Manager
• Provide training and mentorship to new employees and interns
• Engage in regular proposal work and cost estimation for new projects
• Establish MAIT concepts for new projects and evaluate feasibility
• Lead industrialization efforts for new products and processes at the site level

Your Profile

• University degree or technical college degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
• 7-10+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a complex manufacturing setting, ideally within the Space or Aerospace sector
• A hands-on mentality with a customer-oriented and product-focused mindset
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in manufacturing technologies and a foundational knowledge of materials science
• SAP know-how
• Knowledge in lean manufacturing or operational excellence
• Production line leadership experience
• Experience with MES (SAP), CAD, and other relevant complex software
• Experience in composite and metallic structures
