How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior personnel at our client organizations to make informed architectural choices and lead the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Help clients modernize complex system landscapes spanning multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH) that require integration. Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture, establish pragmatic and enforceable architecture standards, and plan their modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Assist clients in building scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms that meet their business needs. Your responsibilities will include data modeling, data integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and utilizing AI to smartly build and operate these platforms.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Aid clients in designing and building integrations necessary for their business processes and data product delivery, which may encompass connections between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms, or between MDM/CRM systems and Cloud data platforms.
- Strengthen Market Positioning: Enhance our architecture footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Expertise: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and establish strategic focus for expertise building within Switzerland in relation to near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
- 4 or more years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect with experience leading teams that designed and implemented complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Engineering background with at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience as a data engineer (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience in evaluating and influencing data architecture decisions, and convincing both business and IT stakeholders.
- Expertise in guiding data engineers in coding best practices, familiar with coding quality tools such as SonarQube, and AI coding assistants integrated into IDE.
- Experience across various database types, including structured (relational), semi-structured (NoSQL), and graph-based (knowledge graph) models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using solutions such as Terraform.

Leadership, Commercial Acumen, and Communication Skills:
- Strong client-facing presence with the ability to connect with senior stakeholders, build relationships, and convert opportunities into projects.
- Strong abstract reasoning skills to understand the connections between enterprise-level, solution-level, and operational concepts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of clearly articulating perspectives to technical and business stakeholders.
- Effective team leadership skills, capable of collaborating with external partners, estimating and planning work, and coaching team members to deliver optimal outcomes.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong skills in modeling methods with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda, event-driven) in Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Experience in data integration & ETL, designing integration layer architecture from various sources (ERP, CRM, operational databases, APIs, files).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or DBT is a plus.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, including the ability to capture and leverage metadata in data pipelines.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English; fluency in French is highly preferred.
