We are seeking a Senior Lead - Development Manager, Special Projects to contribute to the vision of On’s Global Real Estate + Development team from our Headquarters in Zurich. This dynamic and strategic role within the Global Strategic Initiatives team involves overseeing high-profile, globally impactful initiatives. You will be the driving force behind complex projects within our Real Estate portfolio, adept at making high-stakes decisions that influence the brand, often amidst pressure and ambiguity.
Beyond execution, you will critically analyze project outcomes to develop standardized playbooks and best practices for future Special Projects, documenting key learnings, optimizing processes, and establishing clear frameworks for upcoming endeavors.
Your Mission
- Execute within the strategic vision, focusing on elevated decision-making and execution of Special Projects that challenge the current capabilities and built environment portfolio.

Your Story (What You Bring)
- Project Experience (10+ Years): Proven background in architecture and construction, managing complex projects such as retail and workplace developments, with direct involvement in design development to construction administration.
- Elevated Decision-Making: Comfort in making complex, high-stakes decisions under challenging circumstances.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic Global Partnerships: Extensive experience in driving strategic partnerships while providing mentorship and support to cross-functional teams.
- Novel Problem-Solving: Ability to identify systemic blockers and deliver scalable solutions to challenges.
- Calculated Risk Management: Experience in analyzing strategic options and managing calculated risks that drive innovation.
- Innovation & Adaptability: Lead high-profile Special Projects that require exploration of new approaches and flexibility beyond established norms.
- Design & Organizational Skills: Strong appreciation for design coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects and keep meticulous records.
- Language: Fluent in English with strong communication skills; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel globally as needed.
