Job Title: Senior Event Marketing Manager
The Senior Event Marketing Manager is pivotal in creating and executing strategic, high-impact marketing campaigns designed to meet and exceed the objectives of various FIFA Competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FIFA Champions Cup, and other significant projects. This role emphasizes women's tournaments and involves close collaboration with FIFA’s local subsidiaries and tournament organizing committees.
Main Activities:
- Define, lead, and manage comprehensive go-to-market multi-channel marketing plans in collaboration with the digital marketing, ticketing, communications, and business intelligence teams to support strategic goals that drive awareness, attendance, engagement, and retention.
- Provide strategic direction and consultancy to competition stakeholders, including ticketing, hospitality, licensing & retail, broadcast services, media partners, sponsors, local FIFA subsidiaries, organizing committees, and host cities.
- Mentor and train project teams, including marketing specialists, to enhance team capabilities.
- Establish and facilitate tactical and long-term promotional partnerships with both partners and third parties for mutual benefit.
- Craft clear, concise, and inspirational briefs for key support functions, freelancers, agencies, and team members.
- Oversee the launch of major brand assets such as tournament logos, mascots, posters, and songs, and manage multi-phase global and localized awareness and tournament-related sales campaigns.
- Provide strategic input for influencer and AAA talent management programs.
- Become a proficient expert in FIFA event marketing milestone planning, challenging the status quo with innovative marketing milestone concepts to ensure effective amplification and data capture.
- Engage and inspire fans and consumers with FIFA’s event products and bespoke events.
- Deliver timely and accurate information on promotional and marketing events, ensuring optimization of stakeholder opportunities.
- Identify, define, communicate, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Cultivate relationships with key event organizers, functional areas, and all relevant internal and external stakeholders while providing operational support to event marketing initiatives when necessary.
- Guide and manage marketing consultants and agencies, overseeing project budgets, managing vendor relationships, and negotiating contracts to maximize ROI.
- Support FIFA’s local subsidiaries and tournament organizing committees as required.
- Establish best-in-class standards, processes, and operating methods that will inspire future tournaments and events.

Education & Qualifications:

- Solid understanding of the media landscape.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years in a Marketing/Communications role or other relevant position.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in the Sports, Events, or Entertainment industry (either in-house or agency) is a plus.
Languages:
- Fluent in English, with excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
Technology:
- Proficient with Office Suite and cloud-based productivity tools.
- Knowledge of project management tools.
Additional Information:
- Willingness to travel extensively, especially during tournament periods.
