Job opportunity
Flight computers, radios, and payload processors only perform as well as the software stack sitting closest to the metal. Our client is a fast-moving national security satellite company where engineers tackle real problems from initial power-on through to on-orbit operations. They are seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer who can take full ownership of avionics bring-up. If you thrive at the intersection of hardware and software and are eager for your work to soar, this role will suit you perfectly.
You will lead the Linux bring-up for new avionics hardware, taking charge of the board support package, custom kernel work, device trees, bootloaders, and the low-level drivers that interface hardware with the operating system. Your responsibilities will include defining and building the infrastructure needed to deploy and validate systems across flight computers, radios, and payload processors. Furthermore, you will create internal tools to support rapid hardware debugging in the lab and on the production floor. You will also represent software and firmware concerns in cross-disciplinary product development, communicating technical risks and integration status clearly to program teams.
