Job Opportunity: Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Our client is a well-established organization operating in a highly regulated and technology-driven environment, delivering critical services and solutions to support business operations and data-driven decision-making. We are currently seeking two experienced Senior Data Engineers for a 12-month assignment in Zürich.

Role Overview

In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of data integration, data modeling, reporting, and invoicing solutions, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable, sustainable, and high-quality technical implementations. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of data-driven solutions that deliver tangible business value. This position is part of the Reporting Analytics Hub (RAH), a strategic Azure-based platform that serves as the foundation for reporting, analytics, and invoicing capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership for reporting, analytics, and invoicing capabilities within the Reporting Analytics Hub (RAH).
• Design and implement scalable enterprise data models for reporting and invoicing use cases.
• Develop and maintain Azure-based data solutions using PySpark and cloud-native services.
• Integrate and process data delivered through sFTP, Kafka, and streaming technologies.
• Enable invoicing processes by providing invoicing volumes and interfaces towards SAP.
• Deliver reporting and analytics solutions for internal and external stakeholders through Power BI.
• Collaborate closely with Requirements Engineers and business stakeholders to refine and implement evolving business requirements.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform and PySpark development.
• Solid experience with data modeling and scalable reporting architectures.
• Experience with streaming and event-driven data processing (e.g., Kafka).
• Strong understanding of invoicing/billing processes and related data structures.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics solutions.
• Ability to assume ownership and drive delivery across the full solution lifecycle.
