Help shape the future of our financial services clients by integrating sustainability solutions across their business, investment, risk management, and reporting frameworks.

As a Consultant / Senior Consultant in our Sustainability team, your role will be instrumental in supporting banks, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions to tackle some of today’s key challenges and navigate the complex sustainable finance regulatory environment. You will assist our clients in integrating sustainability into their daily activities and processes, from distribution and investment to risk management, underwriting, and reporting. Additionally, you will support Deloitte’s growth in the sustainable finance market by contributing to innovative and tailored go-to-market initiatives and propositions.

Your Impact

You will make a significant contribution by:

  • Strategically guiding clients with the implementation of key regulatory requirements for sustainable finance (e.g., SFDR, AMAS self-regulations, FINMA requirements) and integrating sustainability into their investment processes, advisory services, and portfolio management activities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop methodologies for integrating sustainability risks into traditional financial risks for banks and insurers, focusing on climate and nature risks.
  • Conducting research on a wide array of sustainability topics and trends relevant to banks, asset managers, investment firms, and asset owners.
  • Enhancing quality and transparency by providing assurance on related engagements in the sustainable finance field.
  • Effectively communicating with various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to clearly convey technical concepts and translate complex models into actionable business decisions.
  • Actively supporting and contributing to the firm’s sustainable finance offerings and business development activities.

Who We Are Looking For

  • You are passionate about financial services and sustainability, with a strong interest in helping financial institutions align their strategies with their sustainability goals.
  • You possess a Master’s degree in economics, management, finance, sustainable finance, or related fields.
  • You have subject matter expertise in sustainable finance, with at least 2 years of practical experience in the field.
  • You are familiar with key sustainable finance regulations (e.g., SFDR, FINMA circular on nature-related financial risks) and are skilled in addressing their technical and industry-specific nuances.
  • You understand typical banking and investment processes, with experience in risk management and modeling being advantageous.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex topics in both English and German.
