Job Opportunity: SAP SD and MM Expert
For our client, an internationally operating company located in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, we are seeking a highly skilled individual with extensive expertise in SAP SD and MM.
Your Role
In this dynamic position, you will occupy a pivotal role at the intersection of business and IT. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the seamless operation and advancement of daily business processes in SAP SD and MM, while also playing an active role in the upcoming migration to SAP S/4HANA. Collaboration with various departments will be essential as you strive to understand their daily challenges and translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions. This role goes beyond merely handling existing requests; you will critically evaluate processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and work alongside the business to drive meaningful optimizations.
Your Main Tasks
- Support and further develop business processes in SAP SD and MM
- Analyze existing end-to-end processes, actively identifying optimization and automation opportunities
- Develop and discuss innovative solution approaches in collaboration with business units
- Translate business requirements into functional SAP concepts and specifications
- Actively promote and implement meaningful process improvements and standardizations
- Serve as a central interface between the business, internal IT, and external SAP partners
- Collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from sales, purchasing, and logistics
- Ensure stable and efficient daily operations within the SAP environment
- Manage and coordinate daily inquiries, incidents, problems, and change requests from departments
- Analyze and resolve process and system issues while supporting key users
- Conduct or assist with customization, testing, and system adjustments
- Support tests, releases, rollouts, and user training
Your Profile
- Several years of experience with SAP SD and SAP MM, ideally with strong knowledge of both modules
- Excellent understanding of end-to-end processes in sales, purchasing, and logistics
- Experience collaborating with departments and a solid grasp of their requirements
- Ability to critically assess business requirements and develop more efficient and standardized processes
- Strong communication and consulting skills with a passion for acting as a bridge between business and IT
- Hands-on mentality: you not only develop concepts but also guide them through to implementation
- Assertiveness and the capability to engage diverse stakeholders in meaningful changes
- Structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style
