Relationship Manager - Global South Asia & Africa

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, enabling them to access the complete range of wealth management capabilities and solutions provided by Deutsche Bank Private Bank. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients that align with the bank's business proposition, as well as growing existing business relationships to ensure a holistic and high-standard client experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive relationships with clients, delivering a holistic client experience.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Manager and the Institutional Wealth Partner, when appropriate, to cultivate deeper client relationships and engage in origination activities.
  • Generate new business with both new and existing clients, dedicating time to attract new clients and assets, while nurturing long-term relationships.
  • Advise clients within the required regulatory framework and stay updated on all client-impacting initiatives from the respective market.
  • Identify client lending and financing needs, coordinating with lending specialists to further develop opportunities.
  • Act as the Accountable Client Owner, responsible for all Anti-Money Laundering aspects of the relationship, including Know Your Client protocols and account behavior management.
  • Operate within professional, legal, and ethical boundaries, adhering to all internal and external compliance regulations and codes of ethics; proactively manage reputational risks and conflict issues.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Relevant Relationship Manager experience at the Director level.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with the Global South Asian/Non-Resident Indian Community to develop a strong base of prospective clients.
  • Prior experience in banking for Non-Resident Indians, along with an understanding of unique product offerings and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong attention to detail in both strategy and execution, complemented by excellent communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the governing regulatory framework, including confidentiality, secrecy, data protection regulations, and relevant cross-border rules.
