Job Offer: Pricing Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the establishment of central pricing bases and agree on product terms across Income Protection, Group Life, Group Dependents, and Group Critical Illness products.
  • Own and execute pricing reviews, conduct annual experience investigations, and provide recommendations for changes to pricing assumptions while ensuring appropriate peer and risk reviews are completed.
  • Monitor emerging risk trends, new money rates, expenses, and cost of capital, recommending pricing adjustments as necessary to maintain a commercially robust approach within risk appetite.
  • Play a critical role in pricing governance by preparing clear reports and presenting recommendations to senior forums, including the Pricing Governance Group, Strategic Revenue Price Group, and other committees.
  • Collaborate with key partners across Financial Underwriting, Distribution, Marketing, and DT&T, translating pricing insights into actionable commercial decisions.

Key Requirements

  • A degree-level education, ideally a 2:1 or above, in a subject with significant mathematical or statistical content.
  • Qualified actuary status with robust post-qualification experience, preferably within life, health, or protection insurance.
  • Strong pricing experience with the technical acumen to review assumptions, analyze experience, and make sound recommendations in a complex commercial environment.
  • Highly numerate and comfortable working with data and pricing models, with proficiency in IT tools for analysis and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of producing clear, concise reports and presenting technical recommendations to senior audiences.
  • A balance of technical rigor and commercial judgement, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
