Postdoctoral Fellow - Low-Energy Muons Group

We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our Low-Energy Muons Group in the Laboratory for Muon Spin Spectroscopy.

Your Tasks

• Development of a beta-detected NMR (beta-NMR) spectrometer at ISOLDE / CERN.
• Design of a vacuum load-lock system for the beta-NMR spectrometer.
• Research in condensed matter physics and materials science utilizing muon spin spectroscopy techniques (muSR) at PSI and beta-NMR at ISOLDE / CERN.
• Active participation in the development of the beta-NMR group at ISOLDE / CERN.
• Contribute to the MUONIVERSE collaboration.
• Present research findings through publications and contributions to scientific conferences.

Your Profile

• PhD degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Extensive expertise in solid-state physics, materials science, vacuum technology, and beta-NMR instrumentation.
• Experience with beta-NMR and muSR techniques.
• Enthusiastic and motivated team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
