The Portfolio Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting a commodity team by conducting in-depth research and analysis of global energy markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research and analysis of global energy markets.
- Analyze supply-and-demand fundamentals, including LNG flows, storage levels, consumption trends, and infrastructure developments.
- Build, maintain, and enhance analytical models used to assess market pricing, transportation costs, and the economics of moving and storing gas.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of geopolitical events, regulatory changes, and wider market developments on energy prices and trading opportunities.
- Produce clear, timely, and actionable market insights to support the desk’s trading strategies and decision-making.
- Identify emerging market risks and opportunities, effectively communicating relevant findings to traders and other key stakeholders.
