Job Opportunity: Platform Engineer

For our international client, we are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Crossplane. In this dynamic role, you will design and implement comprehensive platform solutions tailored to our client's needs, focusing on their innovative Data Platform. This cloud-based internal developer platform is designed to seamlessly integrate with various ecosystems, currently utilizing Azure while remaining flexible for future cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver cloud-native, self-service platform capabilities across Azure.
• Craft detailed platform designs based on high-level design requirements using Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Crossplane.
• Implement robust solutions to meet the project's objectives.
• Automate infrastructure management with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using OpenTofu for Day-0 and Crossplane v2 for Day-1+.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, ensuring progressive delivery via Argo Rollouts.
• Create and manage Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Operate and scale Kubernetes fleets on AKS (Azure) employing Cilium (L3/L4), Istio ambient mesh (E-W), and Kong (N-S) to ensure high availability.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct deep-dive troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Mentor platform and SRE engineers to foster skill development.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Platform Engineer on long-term projects.
• Strong background in Azure-focused projects.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes Cluster (AKS).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, including API gateways, service mesh (Istio ambient), and microservices at production scale.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu/Terraform, Crossplane v2).
• Experience with advanced CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD/Rollouts.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Kafka, Databricks, and/or Kong.
• International project experience in large organizations.
• Fluency in English is essential.
