The PhD student will pursue research in the broad field of democracy studies and public governance, with a particular focus on Switzerland's direct democratic polity.
The selected candidate will be enrolled in the Department's Doctoral Programme in Democracy Studies, which offers advanced methodological and substantive training. Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate should possess an MA/MSc in Political Science or Public Administration and have a solid foundation in research methods. Proficiency in both English and German is required, while knowledge of French is advantageous. Candidates should have a strong interest in academic research and a motivation to pursue an academic career, demonstrating the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
