Roles and Responsibilities
- Heat Pump Automation & Control System Engineering: Take ownership of the automation and control system functional logic, HMI philosophy, and templates. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation across a wide range of customer applications and operating conditions.
- Advanced Controls & Performance Optimization: Contribute to the development of innovative control solutions that improve performance, efficiency, and reliability of heat pumps. Design and optimize control logic, system sequencing, and load management for complex heat pump systems and future-oriented technologies.
- Control Strategy Improvement: Leverage operational insights and performance data to continuously enhance heat pump control concepts, algorithms, and product functionality. Analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and translate findings into robust and scalable solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and customer experience.
- Technology Development & Digitalization: Drive the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies in automation, connectivity, monitoring, and digitalization. Develop engineering standards, software libraries, control philosophies, and best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and future-ready automation solutions across our product portfolio.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key interface between control engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, software development, and both internal and external technology partners. Contribute to technical decision-making and help shape the future evolution of Everllence's heat pump technologies.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Several years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or plant engineering, preferably within the process, energy, refrigeration, or heat pump industry.
- Hands-on experience in engineering and commissioning industrial automation systems. Familiarity with Siemens PCS 7, DCS, HMI development, and industrial communication networks is a strong advantage.
- A sound understanding of control engineering, including PID control and functional or sequential control logic. Experience in tuning and optimizing complex industrial processes is highly valued.
- Knowledge of functional safety, explosion protection, industrial cybersecurity, or IT/OT integration is advantageous.
- A structured and solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and with international teams. Proficiency in English is required; German skills are a plus.
