Exciting Opportunity for a Senior NPI Engineer

We are delighted to announce a thrilling opening for an onsite Senior NPI Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lausanne, Switzerland!

Role Overview

As a Senior NPI Engineer, you will bridge the gap between initial design and high-volume manufacturing by translating complex requirements into scalable production realities. You will lead the end-to-end transition process, developing comprehensive manufacturing plans, defining process flows, and synthesizing DFM/T feedback to ensure product manufacturability. This role serves as a central hub for cross-functional collaboration, aligning product development with production testing, supply chain, material planning, and quality teams to ensure a seamless launch.

  • Collaborate with Business Area leadership and engineering teams to drive new product development while strictly adhering to cost and schedule targets.
  • Facilitate a smooth handoff from development to the factory floor by working closely with operational leadership and engineering stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess potential manufacturing bottlenecks, mitigate technical risks, and solve complex engineering challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive the engineering lifecycle through drawing release and the procurement of critical prototype materials and services to support early-stage builds.

  • Experience engaging with contract manufacturers on prototype hardware builds.
  • A strong advocate for configuration management — both hardware and software BOM configuration.
