MEP Construction Manager / MEP Construction Manageress

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead and manage MEP delivery activities across life science construction projects. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept development, detailed design, execution, commissioning, to handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and coordinating technical solutions for electrical and mechanical building services systems.
  • Managing electrical power systems.
  • Overseeing the design and delivery of cooling and HVAC systems, including advanced cooling strategies such as liquid cooling concepts, rear-door heat exchangers, and hot/cold aisle containment.
  • Ensuring system redundancy, resilience, and fault tolerance are implemented across all projects.
  • Managing building automation and monitoring systems, including BMS, DCIM, and SCADA integration.
  • Leading and supporting commissioning activities (Level 1–5), integrated systems testing (IST), factory and site acceptance testing, and load testing.
  • Coordinating with commissioning specialists, contractors, and technical teams to ensure full system validation and performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and guidelines, including Uptime Institute Tier standards and ISO standards.
  • Managing project cost, schedule, quality, and risk, ensuring timely delivery and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineering consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination across all project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile (What We Expect)

  • University degree in engineering or a related technical field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building services engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent).
  • At least 5–10 years of experience in MEP project management or technical planning for construction projects in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
  • Solid technical expertise in electrical and mechanical building services.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems.
  • Familiarity with building management and monitoring systems.
  • Experience working in complex project environments involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style.
