How You Can Make a Difference
- Lead material selection processes (evaluation, recommendation, and decision-making) at various stages of the innovation process (discovery, development, and post-market).
- Develop and maintain knowledge through internal activities, external collaborations (research institutes, commercial partners), and scouting efforts.
- Systematically collect and store explicit and tacit knowledge to enhance knowledge capture.
- Facilitate knowledge distribution through internal training and exchanges.
- Hold technical responsibility for the maintenance of the material portfolio (plastic resins, compounds, masterbatches, additives).
- Support the supply chain in evaluating material suppliers and coordinating initial material sourcing.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to collect and interpret documentation for raw materials and manage them within the document management system.
- Work closely with Regulatory Affairs and Biocompatibility on material compliance and biological evaluation topics.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in plastic engineering, material science, or mechanical engineering.
- Strong expertise in material and product compliance for medical devices.
- Proven experience with plastic materials and the processing of polymer materials.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A curious, creative, and innovative mindset.
- Proficient in both German and English (spoken and written).
