How You Can Make a Difference

  • Lead material selection processes (evaluation, recommendation, and decision-making) at various stages of the innovation process (discovery, development, and post-market).
  • Develop and maintain knowledge through internal activities, external collaborations (research institutes, commercial partners), and scouting efforts.
  • Systematically collect and store explicit and tacit knowledge to enhance knowledge capture.
  • Facilitate knowledge distribution through internal training and exchanges.
  • Hold technical responsibility for the maintenance of the material portfolio (plastic resins, compounds, masterbatches, additives).
  • Support the supply chain in evaluating material suppliers and coordinating initial material sourcing.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain to collect and interpret documentation for raw materials and manage them within the document management system.
  • Work closely with Regulatory Affairs and Biocompatibility on material compliance and biological evaluation topics.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in plastic engineering, material science, or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong expertise in material and product compliance for medical devices.
  • Proven experience with plastic materials and the processing of polymer materials.
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • A curious, creative, and innovative mindset.
  • Proficient in both German and English (spoken and written).
