Manager / Manageress of SAP S/4HANA Technical Transformation, Integration and Clean Core

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP Technical Transformation Leader with extensive hands-on experience in S/4HANA solution design, integration, data replication, and Clean Core implementation. In this leadership role, you will drive and deliver complex SAP transformation programs across multinational ERP landscapes, effectively bridging business, functional, and technical teams while guiding global delivery initiatives from assessment and planning through to implementation and stabilization.

As a trusted advisor to senior clients, you will help define robust SAP S/4HANA landscapes, facilitate sound architecture and integration decisions, enhance development quality, and ensure measurable transformation outcomes through practical applications of SAP BTP, cloud technology, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled SAP capabilities.

Your Impact

• Lead S/4HANA Technical Transformations: Oversee technical assessments, readiness checks, impact analysis, retrofit strategies, risk management, test planning, cutover support, and delivery governance for SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades.
• Shape Integration and Data Replication Solutions: Design integration strategies between SAP and non-SAP systems, including Central Finance, MDG, BW or BW/4HANA, external finance, tax, planning, reporting, and CRM applications, employing technologies such as SLT, SAP CPI, SAP PO, MuleSoft, IDoc, RFC, AIF, and relevant middleware.
• Drive Clean Core Decisions: Establish practical approaches for custom code, RICEFW, Fiori, CDS views, AMDP, ABAP developments, SAP BTP extensions, integration patterns, and code remediation.
• Lead Finance Transformation: Support S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance programs across various financial processes including Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Project to Delivery, and Group Reporting.
• Manage Global Teams: Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising consultants, developers, architects, client IT personnel, and technology partners, including offshore and nearshore resources, while ensuring delivery quality through established guidelines and best practices.
• Bridge Business and IT Stakeholders: Align enterprise architects, process owners, functional leads, system owners, and program leadership across multiple ERP landscapes and geographies, fostering effective communication and issue management.
• Innovate SAP Delivery: Assess and prototype practical applications of SAP BTP, SAP Business AI, Joule, automation, analytics, and data services within transformation contexts.
• Contribute to Commercial Growth: Lead or support solution shaping, effort estimation, proposal preparation, client presentations, and commercial discussions for complex SAP opportunities.
• Strengthen Thought Leadership: Develop reusable assets, technical accelerators, training materials, and mentoring initiatives in SAP technical transformation.

Your Skill Set

This opportunity is designed for hands-on senior SAP transformation professionals who possess a unique blend of technical architecture expertise, consulting leadership, and delivery ownership. Ideal candidates at the Manager or Senior Manager level should have extensive experience leading large SAP S/4HANA technical and integration projects in complex environments.

Expected Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Administration (technology focus), or a related field.
• SAP Technical Transformation Experience: At least 10 years in SAP technical solution design, S/4HANA implementation, upgrades, ERP modernization, and enterprise application advisory.
• S/4HANA Track Record: Experience with multiple SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades, particularly with recent releases such as 2021, 2023, or 2025.
• Technical Solution Design Expertise: Proficient in SAP ABAP, RICEFW, CDS, AMDP, Fiori, HANA, performance tuning, and debugging, with a capability to guide development teams and define technical standards.
• Integration and Replication Knowledge: Proven experience with SAP and non-SAP integration, data replication, and technical connectivity using various tools.
• Finance Exposure: In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA Finance or Central Finance, including various financial processes and reporting practices.
• Cloud and Innovation Mindset: Practical experience with Clean Core principles, SAP BTP capabilities, extensibility, cloud adoption, and AI-driven SAP solutions.
• Program Leadership: Experience leading large teams across diverse geographies and delivery partners.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication skills for managing senior stakeholders and driving effective collaboration.
• Commercial Experience: Familiarity with RfPs, solutioning, and client presentations.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable Qualifications

• SAP certifications such as ABAP, SAP Enterprise Architecture, SAP BTP, or S/4HANA Finance.
• Experience in S/4HANA Public Cloud and agile delivery methodologies.
• Background in multinational SAP landscapes with multiple ERP systems.
• Integration experience with applications like Ariba, Salesforce, or financial consolidation platforms.
• Industry exposure in manufacturing, finance, pharma, or construction.
• Additional language skills in German or French are a plus.
• An MBA or advanced technology degree is beneficial.
