Position Available: Site Manager 100% (m/f/d)
On behalf of our client, Sulser Waagen GmbH, we are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Site Manager at the Herisau location. Sulser Waagen GmbH is a holistic solution provider for scales and weighing systems, catering to a diverse range of customers, including those in industry, trade, retail, butcher shops, and gastronomy. Their offerings encompass everything from retail scales to crane scales, and from slicing machines to vacuum packaging solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Take overall operational, personnel, and organizational responsibility for the Herisau site, which comprises a team of 7 employees, ensuring that processes, resources, and quality standards are met for successful site operations.
- Lead, coordinate, and develop the local team with a clear and appreciative approach; plan staff deployments, set priorities, and foster an environment where team members willingly embrace responsibility.
- Provide active, solution-oriented advice to existing and new customers on scales, machinery, and system solutions, identifying their actual needs and contributing directly to the site’s growth.
- Act as the central interface between customers and service technology, ensuring smooth communication and that concerns are directed to the right channels promptly.
- Oversee the daily operations and provide assistance in technical service when necessary; your hands-on mentality will be a key asset.
Your Profile
- A seasoned and responsible individual with entrepreneurial thinking and a hands-on mentality; several years of experience managing a site or business unit with P&L responsibility is essential.
- Experience in sales and consulting, preferably in a technical environment or in capital goods, is advantageous. Knowledge of measuring devices is highly welcome.
- Technical understanding is crucial; a background as a service technician or equivalent practical experience is preferred; advanced education (FH/HF) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Possess commercial insight or foundational knowledge in business administration, with the ability to work independently, precisely, and service-oriented.
- Fluency in German is required, along with a category B driver's license.
