The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teacher to join our Bespoke Learning Support programming. This program caters to students requiring layered adaptive and intensive services to facilitate their successful inclusion within our school. It provides a personalized environment and curriculum tailored to the specific learning profiles and behaviors of students, ensuring maximum growth in academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of teachers, assistant teachers, and therapists, offering individualized support for students in both grade-level classes and specialized settings.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree (or equivalent certification) in Special Education and a valid special education teaching credential
  • A commitment to providing high-quality education for children facing significant challenges
  • At least three years of experience working in mainstream or special schools with students who have additional significant learning needs
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and revising individual education plans, monitoring student progress, and supporting mainstream subject teachers
  • Experience with common educational assessments for evaluating student competency levels and/or developing individualized learning plans
  • Expertise in delivering a variety of literacy and numeracy interventions
  • Comfort with assistive technologies and utilizing 1:1 devices
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and colleagues
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals to support student inclusion
  • German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
