Job Opportunity: Laboratory Technician / Logistician
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician / Logistician to enhance our daily lab operations. This role encompasses buffer/media preparation, basic cell culture tasks, equipment maintenance, and logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepare buffers, solutions, media, agar plates, aliquots, and basic DNA/plasmid materials.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance on biosafety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, pipettes, flow cytometers, HPLC, and Biacore.
- Maintain a clean, compliant, and well-organized lab environment.
- Support mammalian and bacterial cell culture, including maintenance, expansion, cryopreservation, colony picking, and basic quality control.
- Manage consumables inventory, receive and store deliveries, and restock supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to workflow and process improvements.
Education and Desired Experience
- CFC Biology Laboratory Technician (or equivalent) is required.
- Independent, organized, and collaborative working style.
- Strong proficiency in English & French.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to safety and hygiene.
- Methodical, focused, and professional demeanor.
- Prior lab experience (academic or industry) is advantageous.
