How You Can Make an Impact
The Solution Architect will manage a variety of projects simultaneously, overseeing the end-to-end design from inception to delivery. You will engage with diverse business challenges and collaborate with various subject matter experts, including third parties and implementation teams, to devise effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing technical leadership to define and articulate pragmatic and commercially viable solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensuring that all business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements are detailed sufficiently for implementation teams to progress.
- Addressing testing, release/transition, and operational/support/service considerations.
- Working alongside the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure solutions align with business and technology strategy, negotiating minimal dispensations as necessary.
- Leading and coordinating internal and external subject matter experts involved in solution design and implementation.
- Driving the implementation of approved solutions in close cooperation with SMEs, focusing on hands-on implementation according to guidance and design.
- Identifying quick wins or short-term transition architectures, such as a minimum viable product, to facilitate rapid realization of business benefits while minimizing risk, complexity, and cost.
- No line management responsibilities are required in this role.
Who We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in designing and delivering pragmatic, commercially viable solutions to both new and existing business challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to define business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements of a solution that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate solutions to both senior and technical audiences.
- Capability to ensure quality outputs from SMEs, including those from third parties.
- 3-5 years of experience in two or more of the following areas: operating systems, system security, networking, compute, storage/backup, cloud computing, and database management (predominantly Microsoft stack, including Azure).
- Azure Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience and working knowledge of DevOps tools, automation, and methodologies used for deploying solutions within a cloud environment.
Preferred:
- TOGAF accreditation or BCS Chartered Professional or Fellow in Solution Development & Architecture.
- Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (e.g., ISO27001, PCI-DSS).
- Ability to communicate in German, both oral and written.
