Global Business & Operations (GBO)
Global Business & Operations (GBO) is the dedicated unit at Zurich responsible for overseeing global Travel and Cyber business, in addition to managing Zurich’s Global Operations. This includes Group Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Corporate Center Facilities Management, and the Zurich Capability Centers (ZCC) / global shared services centers. Our mission within Global Operations is twofold: to reduce expenses while standardizing and improving the quality of services provided. This approach enhances our efficiency and maximizes the benefits derived from shared services.
Head of Zurich Capability Centers (ZCC)
Reporting directly to the CEO of GBO, the newly created Head of ZCC role will play a critical role in transforming and managing Zurich’s global shared services centers.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute the overarching strategy for ZCCs, promoting greater enterprise adoption, standardization, location optimization, scalability, and cross-centre governance.
- Oversee operational performance and change management for ZCC operations across multiple countries, providing leadership to ZCC Heads and their extended teams, which include IT, Finance, HR, Strategy, and Assurance.
- Lead transformational change by designing a future-fit shared services model strategy, which includes consideration of additional front/middle/back-office process migration and the impact of AI.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Advocate for enterprise expansion and optimal service placement through the strategic enhancement of ZCC offerings to additional Zurich country Business Units.
- Foster collaboration and resilience among centers, breaking down silos and building capacity redundancy.
- Ensure consistent regulatory and compliance adherence across all centers.
What You Bring
- A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive senior leadership experience in transformational global shared services, including strategy, design, set-up, and governance of complex multi-tower operations.
- A proven track record of driving enterprise change, creating scalable service models, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing large teams across multiple geographies.
- Understanding of property and facility management, encompassing technical operations, supplier management, and workplace transformation.
- Familiarity with compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management in a global shared service context.
- Strong ability to develop change narratives, advocate for strategic expansion, and influence senior stakeholders.
- A future-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation, including AI and automation.
- Solid financial planning and budgeting skills to effectively manage operational costs and budgets.
