Position: Head of Publishing
The Head of Publishing will have overall responsibility for the publishing team, managing their performance in collaboration with other leads and the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team responsible for production, marketing, community management, and sales.
- Guide the production process from initial playable versions to final release.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to effectively promote our games.
- Ensure our titles maximize their sales potential by diversifying sales channels.
- Define team responsibilities, identify opportunities, assess performance, and foster team development.
- Enhance team performance, outline new roles, and recruit additional talent.
- Clearly communicate essential goals, motivate the team, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Development, Head of Art, and the CEO.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years in game publishing or a related field.
- Practical experience in production, marketing, community management, sales, and distribution.
- Strong project management, negotiation, sales, and deal-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, mediation, and interpersonal abilities paired with assertiveness.
- A strong portfolio showcasing successfully released products.
- Fluent in German and English, with communication and writing skills at B2 level or higher.
Preferences:
- Experience working on shipped products within the video game industry.
- Familiarity with multi-platform releases (PC, PlayStation, Xbox).
- Advanced knowledge in game testing, certification, age rating, and similar processes.
- Expertise in social media, press events, advertising campaigns, and sales optimization.
- Strong enthusiasm for our games, particularly Transport Fever 2 and 3.
- A degree in leadership, management, marketing, publishing, or a related field.
