Position: Head of Content Creation
The Head of Content Creation will hold overall responsibility for the art team, managing and optimizing performance in collaboration with other leads and the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of six in-house and two external 2D/3D artists.
- Define roles, identify growth opportunities, evaluate performance, and promote team members.
- Optimize team performance, develop new profiles, and recruit additional members.
- Communicate essential goals to the team, serve as a motivator, and set a positive example.
- Gather feedback from team members while ensuring discipline and fairness.
- Ensure deadlines are met and that lessons learned are applied effectively.
- Foster close collaboration with the Head of Product, Head of Development, and the CEO.
Requirements
- 3+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years as a 3D artist or in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of established 3D modeling software, content pipelines, and custom tools.
- Experience with 2D tools such as Substance texturing tools and Photoshop.
- Strong leadership skills with empathy for the motivating factors of highly qualified teams.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical team members.
- Exceptional organizational, moderation, and social skills paired with strong assertiveness.
- A robust portfolio showcasing released products you have worked on.
- Proficient in German and English communication and writing skills (B2 level or higher).
Preferences
- Degree in game development, formal art education, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of shader languages, scripting, and programming.
- Experience in the video game industry with completed projects.
