GNC/AOCS Engineer Position in Denmark
Darwin Recruitment is currently seeking a talented GNC/AOCS Engineer to join our team in Denmark. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects in the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design AOCS solutions, integrating and testing spacecraft AOCS components and algorithms tailored to customer-specific missions.
- Engage with customers to discuss requirements and collaboratively agree on solutions.
- Specify, evaluate, and select spacecraft attitude determination sensors and actuators for customer-specific missions.
- Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to define architecture and spacecraft design based on required performance specifications for attitude determination and control systems.
- Perform simulations and development using tools such as MatLab, Simulink, C, and C++.
- Develop AOCS software, including components for use with both company-qualified and customer-selected elements.
- Create AOCS documentation customized for specific missions and spacecraft.
- Support the integration, testing, and troubleshooting of AOCS components and software in Cleanroom settings and in orbit.
- Contribute to the evolution of spacecraft AOCS architecture, focusing on components and systems that enhance pointing performance; maintain technical reference documentation for AOCS architecture definition, design, and development.
Requirements
- Relevant technical knowledge acquired through education in Control and Automation (preferably at the MSc level or higher) and/or substantial professional high-tech experience.
- Strong understanding of CubeSat/spacecraft attitude determination and control systems.
- Preferable knowledge in spacecraft system engineering.
- Recent involvement in projects related to the development of space hardware and/or software, particularly in attitude determination and control.
- Familiarity with components of spacecraft attitude determination and control systems, such as IMUs, star trackers, reaction wheels, and reaction control systems.
- Interest in spacecraft propulsion systems.
- Proficient programming skills in one or more languages, including C, C++, Python, MatLab, etc.
- Experience working with Linux-based systems.
- Hands-on experience with programming microcontrollers is desirable.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in customer-facing roles, capable of explaining complex technologies in easily understandable terms.
- Fluency in English on a professional level.
