Primary Purpose of the Role

As the Global Brand Manager for CardioMetabolics, you will play a key role in expanding the CardioMetabolics Team. You will guide the development and execution of strategic global brand and marketing plans that elevate our Diabetes brands worldwide. In this capacity, you will shape long-term brand strategy, collaborate closely with regional and affiliate teams, and ensure that global initiatives are delivered with clarity, alignment, and purpose. Your contributions will directly enhance patient outcomes while driving sustainable, meaningful business impact across diverse markets.

What You Will Do

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and champion forward-looking, cross-functional brand plans that support Abbott’s Global Diabetes Portfolio.
  • Identify emerging trends, prioritize key opportunities, and ensure strategies reflect patient, provider, and market needs.

Insights & Customer Understanding

  • Lead market insights and research initiatives to uncover unmet needs and enhance the overall customer and patient experience.
  • Translate these insights into actionable strategies that guide marketing programs globally.

Brand Positioning & Differentiation

  • Shape compelling, differentiated global brand positioning with clear, resonant messaging for key partners and stakeholders.
  • Set meaningful, inspiring objectives that align with Abbott’s purpose and long-term vision.

Integrated Marketing Programs

  • Design and oversee integrated multichannel marketing programs targeted at engaging healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and patients.
  • Ensure approaches are customer-centric, inclusive, and accessible across diverse markets.

Global Launch Excellence

  • Lead comprehensive launch plans for new global diabetes brands.
  • Partner closely with affiliates to ensure alignment, readiness, and successful execution.

Collaboration with Affiliates

  • Work closely with local marketing and commercial teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
  • Build strong partnerships to ensure consistent brand execution across markets.

Brand Stream Leadership

  • Lead the Diabetes Brand Stream and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver key business priorities.
  • Develop and implement life-cycle management strategies and prepare business cases for senior leadership.

Budget Stewardship

  • Manage the promotional budget thoughtfully, ensuring strategic investment and strong ROI across initiatives.

Performance Tracking

  • Establish clear monitoring processes and performance dashboards.
  • Provide transparent, solutions-oriented updates to senior management on a monthly basis.

Best Practice Sharing

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning by facilitating knowledge-sharing across regions.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • University degree (Science or Business preferred).
  • MBA or postgraduate marketing qualification is a plus, but not required.

Experience

  • Experience managing global or regional Cardiometabolic (Cardio or Diabetes) brands.
  • Candidates with biosimilars experience are also welcome to apply.

Languages

  • Fluency in English required.
  • Additional languages (Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin) are a plus.

  • Strong brand building and long-range planning capabilities.
  • Experience with launches and portfolio expansion.
