Are you a dedicated specialist in Geriatrics seeking a position within a general practice? Our practice, located in the beautiful canton of Bern, is integrated into a nursing and care home with approximately 120 beds. We are a privately run group practice collaborating with other specialists, and we are currently in search of a:

Specialist in Geriatrics / Specialist in General Internal Medicine (m/f/d)

We are looking for an individual with a passion for caring for and treating older patients. This position offers diverse responsibilities within a motivated and experienced primary care team. You will serve as the first point of contact for residents of the home and their staff, while also conducting outpatient consultations in the practice for patients from the broader community. There is potential for expanding this specialty due to the local population's demographic structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for residents and staff in the nursing and care home.
• Conduct outpatient consultations for external patients.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other specialists in the practice.
• Explore opportunities for specialty expansion in the local community.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold either a Specialist in General Medicine FMH, a practical doctor qualification, or a Specialist in General Internal Medicine FMH, as well as equivalent diplomas from the EU. A broad background in general practice is essential, and while additional qualifications in Geriatrics are welcomed, they are not mandatory. We value team players who are communicative, flexible, and ready to embrace responsibility.
