Development Engineer Mechanical Design (m/f)
Become a vital part of our Turbine Development department within the gas turbine business in Baden (AG) and contribute to the continuous improvement of Ansaldo Energia products.
Your Tasks
- Create and construct designs for gas turbine blades, vanes, and heat shield components, while considering manufacturing, lifetime, performance, assembly, and cost targets.
- Collaborate closely with other functional turbine teams, including Aerodynamics, Cooling, Mechanical Integrity, Manufacturing, and Reconditioning.
- Issue and review manufacturing specifications and technical reports.
- Prepare design review materials, capture lessons learned, and ensure the integration of manufacturing and field feedback into designs.
- Support manufacturing process development by providing feedback during their development and addressing nonconformity resolutions to Quality and Logistics.
Your Profile
- Degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in high-temperature component design using state-of-the-art methods (e.g., 3D-CAD NX and Teamcenter).
- Strong knowledge of investment casting and machining processes.
- Solid understanding of mechanics and physics of materials.
- Fluency in English, along with basic German language skills.
- Open-minded, analytical, and target-oriented team player who thrives in a multicultural environment.
- Creative, thorough, and independent, with strong negotiation skills.
