Claims Manager Opportunity
Our client, an innovative insurance coverholder specializing in Energy and Property, is seeking a qualified Claims Manager to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
The Claims Manager will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Receiving and acknowledging notifications
- Managing claims, which includes market participation, communication with loss adjusters, assessing information from loss adjusters and experts, reserve setting, and settlement agreements
- Liaising with the underwriting team regarding underwriting and feedback from claims experience
- Preparing monthly bordereaux and submitting them to Underwriters
- Distributing claims funds to insured parties (typically through brokers)
- Coordinating with supporting Underwriters on large claims
Additional Responsibilities
In addition to regular claims management tasks, the Claims Manager will also undertake ad-hoc responsibilities such as:
- Delivering presentations to existing and prospective supporting capacity providers
- Responding to specific queries from carriers and brokers
- Preparing for and participating in Underwriter-instructed audits
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of a new Information Management System

Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Claims Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
- Approximately 5 years of claims management experience in a technical field
- Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- A team-oriented mindset
- Effective communication skills and willingness to engage with others
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is an advantage. The following abilities are important:
- Comprehension and evaluation of complex loss adjuster and technical reports
- The ability to articulate our clients' positions effectively (both orally and in writing) regarding coverage
