Business Process Expert for Master Data of CMO
Roche Switzerland bridges the gap between pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, with essential research and development functions located here. We are seeking a Business Process Expert for Master Data of CMO to join our long-term client, F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG in Basel.
Background
The Business Process Expert (BPE) plays a vital role as a bridge between global process standards and local operational execution. This position is embedded within a specific function, such as Site, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain, while working closely with the Global Business Capability Owner (BCO) Center of Excellence. As a change agent, the BPE is tasked with driving process alignment and harmonization at the site level, ensuring local requirements are effectively integrated into global designs while maintaining an end-to-end (E2E) mindset.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Process Design & Alignment
- Act as a change agent to promote global process changes and alignments locally, partnering with Data Content Owners (DCOs) and Master Data Specialists (MDSs) to ensure timely and accurate master data deployments.
- Provide site-specific requirements from the user network to refine global process designs for fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Collaborate with other BPEs, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Super Users to generate ideas across processes and systems.
- Utilize in-depth process knowledge to assist in harmonizing local practices with global standards.
Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Facilitate the resolution of operational bottlenecks and define process enhancements that create measurable business value.
Governance & Adoption
- Champion the implementation and adherence to global process standards and governance frameworks.
System & Operational Support
- Serve as the site expert for both business processes and relevant systems (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA, OMP).
- Support site-specific data analysis, analytics, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure robust execution of processes aligned with the intended global design.
- Define and manage change requests (I2Rs) during the sustainment phase, acting as the primary interface for users to submit improvement ideas.
Training & Change Management
- Lead the revision, alignment, and retirement of local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to the creation and revision of Global Standard Processes (GSPs) and network SOPs, Work Instructions & Playbooks.
- Oversee the onboarding and training of new team members on site-specific processes and systems.
- Support site-wide information sharing and deployment initiatives during project transitions.
ASPIRE Sustainment Accountabilities
- Support Fit-Gap Assessments.
- Assist in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) reviews and execution.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Drive Template Sustainment via the Idea-to-Request (I2R) process, prioritizing site-specific requirements within the global backlog.
Must Haves
- Functional Expertise: Strong expertise in relevant business processes (Supply Chain, Technical Operations, or Contract Manufacturing).
- Innovation Mindset: Demonstrates an E2E and innovative mentality with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Change Leadership: Possesses the influence skills necessary to effectively drive change and challenge the status quo.
- Technical & System Proficiency: Hands-on understanding of master data flow across SAP S/4HANA modules (MM, PP, QM, SD) and PLM interfaces.
- Education: BA/BS Degree, preferably in a technical, business, or supply chain field; Master's Degree is a plus.
- Experience: 8+ years in the pharma industry, supply chain management, or manufacturing.
- Certifications: APICS and/or SCOR certification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English is a must.
