Job Opportunity: Applied Chemistry Analyst
This role combines expertise in applied chemistry with quantitative data analysis to evaluate fertilizer products and raw materials. The position involves verifying product and quality specifications while generating the technical and market intelligence that supports commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and analytical support for the company’s fertilizer sourcing, product development, and trading activities.
- Conduct data analysis and offer market support.
- Analyze technical products and specifications.
- Support sourcing, supplier management, counterparties, and product stewardship efforts.
- Assist the Chief Commercial Officer with technical and analytical challenges.
Requirements
- Integrated master’s degree in chemistry (M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent) with first-class/distinction classification and an outstanding academic record.
- Strong background in chemical sciences and the ability to understand and evaluate complex technical information.
- Interest in agriculture, crop nutrition, and commodity markets.
- Practical data analysis and programming skills, particularly in Python.
- Exceptional scientific and technical writing abilities.
- Capacity to independently interpret product specifications, laboratory reports, and analytical data.
- Understanding of safe chemical handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages (Russian, German) are a plus.
