Job Description
We are seeking an experienced chef with a strong background in authentic Indian cuisine, specializing in Tandoor and Curry preparation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Indian cooking techniques and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes in accordance with our restaurant standards.
- Handle the preparation of curries, tandoori dishes, biryani, dals, rice, naan, and starters.
- Utilize Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques accurately.
- Perform mise en place for daily service, ensuring all ingredients are ready.
- Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes served.
- Comply with hygiene, food safety, and HACCP regulations at all times.
- Manage the proper storage and handling of food in line with hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen work area.
- Contribute to menu planning and support daily kitchen operations.
- Assist with stock control and work towards minimizing food waste.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team during service.
- Follow instructions from the Head Chef and management diligently.
