Systems Engineer Test Technician - Contract - Acton, MA

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in bringing next-generation medical technologies to life through your expertise in testing, analysis, and collaboration? Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer Test Technician to join a dynamic team in Acton, MA.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support and manage materials, tools, and perform various engineering tasks to aid research and development (R&D) efforts for both existing products and new product initiatives. Working closely with a motivated team of test technicians and engineers, you will ensure the smooth operation of testing environments, material preparation, and laboratory equipment maintenance. This position is critical in promoting robust medical device design, development, and evaluation.

Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in R&D.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and technical writing capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze data effectively.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and processes is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with systems development and test engineers to understand schedules and equipment needs for project testing activities.
• Build and set up test fixtures and laboratory equipment for testing purposes.
• Ensure equipment readiness and availability for timely test execution across projects.
• Utilize existing tools and automation to execute automated tests and report results.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, collect logs, and gather data for issues observed during testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests, record results, and document issues using standard tools and processes.
• Conduct dry runs of new and updated manual and automated test cases.
• Support Test Method Validation (TMV) and Measurement System Analysis activities, including Gage R&R studies, while documenting and analyzing data.
• Coordinate with systems development and test engineers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
• Write reports and log issues for executed verification tests.
• Participate in the planning and execution of technical project work.
• Maintain lab safety and housekeeping practices, supporting 5S initiatives.
• Schedule regular maintenance for laboratory equipment, interface with service technicians, and address equipment issues as needed.
• Perform other technician tasks using standard and advanced techniques.
