Role and Responsibilities

• Enhancement and development of drone avionics, including electrical wiring, sensors, avionics boxes, battery, and power management.
• Creation of technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, configurations, and settings.
• Testing of components and sub-systems, with a focus on electrical components and systems.
• Support testing of the complete drone system.
• Root cause problem-solving.
• Technical documentation preparation.
• Electrical assembly of components and systems for testing purposes.
• Management of avionics components and system suppliers.
• Assuming system design responsibilities.
• Continuous improvement of SwissDrones processes and procedures.

Your Profile

• Solid technical education, such as an apprenticeship as an aircraft electronic technician or an equivalent qualification.
• Higher education is a plus, preferably in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant working experience in the avionics and electronics sector.
• Proficiency in major CAD programs for electronics.
• Experience in electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
• Background in environments with high quality and safety requirements, such as aviation, automotive, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
• Software integration, configuration, programming, or software development experience will be an advantage.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, growing company.
• Willingness to tackle problems and improve company procedures and processes.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken.
• Experience with M365 tools (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).
• A proactive and positive attitude toward challenges.
