Job Description

The management of EM suppliers' quality directly influences the effectiveness and efficiency of various activities, including:

  • SCAR process management
  • Supplier selection and qualification
  • Process change management
  • Supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement plans
  • Focus on critical suppliers
  • Global quality performance evaluation
  • Supplier development plans, where appropriate
  • Supplier audits
  • Supplier quality management strategy

The EM internal auditor ensures that organizational processes comply with the requirements of various standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, etc.), along with customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements. This role impacts both EM Marin and our remote locations, including EM BKK.

To strengthen our Quality Department, we are seeking a:

Supplier Quality Manager

  • Define the supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Business Units. Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and completion.
  • Establish and timely review Supplier Quality Agreements.
  • Effectively deploy EM and customer requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective SCAR management, including root cause analysis, CAPA effectiveness, and appropriate responses as per EM and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Business Units, and Purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers as well as qualify new articles. Review and validate the supplier PPAP when applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review, assess, accept, and qualify supplier process changes.
  • Support risk assessments for supplier-related waiver requests and ensure proper monitoring to guarantee no impact on EM production and customers.
  • Define and deploy yearly targets for automotive-grade and other relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and report supplier quality performance to management, analyzing and driving continuous improvement projects based on key detractors.
  • Support Supplier Performance Re-evaluations in collaboration with the Supply Chain team to trigger supplier audits and development plans.
  • Oversee the supplier audit program in coordination with stakeholders, using VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive-grade suppliers.
  • Act as the lead auditor for EM internal audit activities, conducting risk assessments, prioritizing audits, performing internal audits, reviewing corrective actions, and reporting main system gaps and opportunities to management.

Profile

  • Engineering degree (Master's preferred) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in a supplier quality organization.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
  • Familiarity with automotive core tools: FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards such as AEC Q100, Jedec, MIL883, etc.
  • Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and strong knowledge of ISO 19011, alongside analytical skills and problem-solving methodologies. Statistical knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes/environments.
  • Project management skills.
