Job Description
The quality management of EM suppliers plays a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of several key activities, including:
- SCAR process management
- Suppliers' selection and qualification
- Process change management
- Suppliers' performance monitoring and continuous improvement plans
- Focus on critical suppliers
- Global quality performance evaluation
- Suppliers' development plans
- Supplier audits
- Supplier quality management strategy
The EM internal auditor ensures that organizational processes meet the requirements of various standards (such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025), as well as customer, regulatory, and internal requirements, impacting not only EM Marin but also our remote locations.
To strengthen our Quality department, we are recruiting a:
Supplier Quality Manager
- Define the supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality management, Operations, and Business Units. Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and completion.
- Establish and timely review suppliers' quality agreements.
- Effectively deploy EM and customer requirements to relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee the SCAR management process, including root cause analysis, effectiveness of CAPA, and adequate responses according to EM and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, Business Units, and purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers and articles, and review and validate suppliers' PPAP where applicable.
- Review and assess suppliers' process changes in conjunction with operations, Business Units, and purchasing.
- Support risk assessments for suppliers related to waiver requests and monitor to ensure no impact on EM production and customers.
- Define and deploy yearly targets for automotive grade and relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report suppliers' quality performance to management, analyzing and driving continuous improvement projects based on top detractors.
- Support suppliers’ performance re-evaluation in partnership with the Supply Chain team to initiate supplier audits and development plans.
- Own the supplier audit program in coordination with all relevant parties, applying VDA 6.3 methodology for automotive grade suppliers.
- Lead internal audit activities, including risk assessment and audit prioritization, performing internal audits, reviewing and validating corrective actions, and consolidating findings for management.
Profile
- Engineering degree (Master’s preferred) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in a supplier quality organization.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
- Familiarity with automotive core tools: FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as AEC Q100, Jedec, MIL883, etc.
- Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and a solid understanding of ISO 19011, alongside strong analytic and problem-solving skills; statistical knowledge is an advantage.
- Understanding of semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes/environments.
- Project management skills.
