ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research

Project Description

The ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering, established in 2008, is integrated into the Faculty of Medicine, making it a unique institution in Europe. After nearly two decades of innovative research and the training of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, we aim to investigate the career progression of women who have been associated with the ARTORG Center. This project focuses on female graduates and early-career researchers (PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty) from 2008 to the present, to better understand the specific challenges and opportunities they encounter during the early stages of their careers—beyond the completion of their academic training.

Our ultimate goal is to identify ways to enhance educational training to promote gender equality and equip our students and early-career researchers with the skills essential for success in their professional journeys.
