Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients in both the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a:
QA Specialist
This is a 6-month contract role based in the Valais area, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming material verification according to applicable procedures.
- Establish and maintain raw material suppliers, SOPs, and systems.
- Manage the qualification of materials used in the manufacturing process, including physical verification of incoming raw materials and subsequent release in our LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
- Manage deviations and changes associated with materials.
- Collect KPIs linked to services related to material qualification and release.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical quality issues tied to materials while maintaining compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical quality management systems.
- Familiarity with quality systems, particularly SAP and LIMS.
- Experience in managing quality tools, including deviations, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and change controls.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure environments.
