Software Engineer - Java/Node
Our client in Krakow is seeking a talented Software Engineer with experience in Java and/or Node (ideally both) to design, build, and maintain internal tooling that supports Future State Architecture (FSA) initiatives across CTO Platforms. The role involves developing backend services and APIs, as well as integrating applications with PostgreSQL and other enterprise data sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise backend services and APIs.
- Integrate applications with PostgreSQL and other data sources.
- Contribute to the development and support of internal engineering platforms and developer tooling.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong software engineering expertise using Node.js and/or Java.
- Experience in designing and developing enterprise backend services and APIs.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript/TypeScript-based UI frameworks.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI and Autonomous AI Agent orchestration.
- Experience implementing MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Familiar with Tool Calling and Function Calling integration patterns.
- Strong API design and integration experience.
- Solution design and architecture experience for enterprise platforms and tooling.
- Solid understanding of production engineering practices, including:
- Security
- Resilience
- Performance
- Observability
- Automated Testing
Contract Details
- Type: Freelance role with an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extensions.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site in the office in Krakow.
